INSCRIBED and SIGNED by Dawes on front end page of Volume I, "For Senator & Mrs. Francis B. Warren from Charles G. Dawes, Brig. Gen'l/September2nd 1921."  Dawes was vice-president under Calvin Coolidge.

Apparent First Editions, 8vo, two volumes issued separately but bound identically, bound in full red morocco with gilt-ruled borders on front and rear covers, top edges gilt, original wraps bound in, both volumes are the same height but the Dumas volume is about 1/2" deeper. They contain numerous photos of Morocco and Moroccan life; nice condition.
